The 2018 Cabernet is OMG! The nose is delicious, velvet rose petals begging to be inhaled again and again. Upon the first sip, you are hooked, a smooth beautiful wine mature beyond its time. On the nose, there are hints of cranberry and allspice with a warm, lingering luscious sensation on the palate. This elegant, beautiful ruby colored wine is destined to be an absolute favorite!
Coming from a site north of St. Helena, on the east side of Highway 29, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Shibumi Knoll Vineyard has a beautiful, perfumed, elegant style in its red and blue fruits as well as notes of rose petal, chocolate, and exotic flowers. It actually reminds me slightly of Las Piedras with its floral character and is medium to full-bodied, balanced, and elegant on the palate, with terrific tannins.
